After the car gets warm and gets parked, it creates an antifreeze puddle below the round silver part to the right of the oil filter on the 3.0L engine on the drivers side.

What is this part called and would would it leak?
Could it be the gasket between it and the block?
Can it be rebuilt?
Is it easy to remove while in the car?

I am talking about the round/sliver part on the very right.

 

That's the oil cooler. Time for a new seal. Search the forums. The info on replacement is around.

There are actually 3 rubber o-rings seals in it, IIRC. Replace them all.

 

I just ordered all three!!

Let's hope it is easy to do and takes care of the antifreeze leak.

Yeah, I couldn't remember how many, but I knew atleast one...hahaha.

 

Make sure u scrape the old gasket off really well and id reccomend using hi temp silicone on both sides of the seal to insure a leak free solution

No

None of the gaskets seal any coolant.There are no seals for coolant. All those seals are for oil.

If you are leaking coolant then it is from the hose connections or the cooler itself is bad and leaking.

 

Hmm....you sure about that? Just asking. I just looked at a diagram of the cooler. Couldn't tell much really, but it kinda looks like a little radiator inside there. Is that the case?

 

This is correct.

It runs oil & coolant around each other in a tiny radiator type of system. If the OP is leaking coolant, it is probably from the hose.

 

Didn't need the three gaskets i bought. Fixed the problem which was leaky hose clamp.
