I'm running 32 MTR's on 15x8 wheels. I have turned the torsion bars a little and I've added an a.a.l. to level out the rear.

I feel stupid asking this, but you know you are going further than your odometer says, right? This should compensate a little for your mileage.

grandeyota: did you pop off your valance during that jump? It sure is nice to see an IFS in the air every once in a while.

Maybe that should be rephrased as it's nice to see that a 3.0 has the power to bring it off the ground every once in a great while.

The zip ties that hold it up started breaking, and did every time I had that thing off road. It's in the garbage now, replaced with a piece of expanded metal in front of the radiator. It got pulled of once before I trimmed it for the 36's, never was the same after that.

I'm assuming by "STOCK" you mean 225/75/15?? (28" roughly?).

Because my truck came "STOCK" with 31 x 10.5 x 15 (and that's what I still have obviously as per my sig).

hey brad, this is a question i've posed before, so how much of a difference do you expect to see? i've been thinking of 31's, but wondering how much i'd lose in gas (and acceleration) as this is my DD.

Yes, by "stock", I meant 225/75-15. I should have clarified that in my original post. Even though some trucks came with the optional 31x10.5-15's, I would consider them not to be stock.

On a side note, 2wd pickups came with 195/75-14 "stock", with an option for 205/75-14 or 215/65-15, which I would also consider "not stock".

with normal everyday driving you will lose mpg with bigger tires. But from stock 28's or whatever to 31's you will actually get better mpg when driving on the highway at highway speeds. Around town will still suffer, so aif you dont hit alot of traffic in your commute, I would stay with the 31's!

On my 94 4runner withe the 3.0, the best i got was about 12mpg with 31's, but when i lifted it with 33's, when i drove it on trips on the highway I was getting 18 mpg or so...

I run 32x11.5x15's Cooper Discover STT's on Stock 15x7 4runner rims! They work great running stock height. All I had to do to keep from scrubbing was beat the pinch weld flat about 5" up from the bottom at the rear of the fender well!

35x10.5 SSR's... wasn't on the list to vote for

No lift, saggy front t-bars, broken rear leafs, 4.56 gears and a driver with no fear.
