What’s it worth?

I’m considering selling my 1986 pickup. I’ve never seen another one like it. I’ve even searched the internet and can’t find one. It’s a 4x4, extra cab, fuel injected, independent front suspension, 5 speed, bucket seats, electric windows and locks, air conditioning, cruise control, factory sun roof, power antenna, and rear window defrost. It’s super straight with no rust. She’s obliviously not perfect but in great shape. What do you think it’s worth? Thanks Scotty

Good Lord why would you want to sell that?? And 86 in that shape is pretty much a collectors item these days! But if you're dead set on making a terrible decision, in today's market I'd be surprised to see one posted for less than $7K, and depending on your area maybe even $10K.

If you are set on selling, check out Bring a Trailer. Some older Toyotas have been going for huge premiums over there.

Thats a great photo.

I don't think that is a factory paint color, so it's like had some work done. The price would depend greatly on the quality of work that was done. With all of the options it sounds like it is an SR5 which usually brings more money. Your best bet has already been mentioned about BaT.

Right, but this pickup looks more like Dark blue 8E2 at least to my eyes from the one picture.

First, why?

Second, why?

As said above private sale or auction will bring a premium. My 91 will be with me till I can’t drive a manual anymore.

Do I want a car payment? Nope.

Do I want a $50k new Tacoma or 4 runner that have became an absolute dime a dozen, nope. I see 1st gens once every year, second and third gens once every six months…..

I have no point, well kinda, you’ll regret it.
