what gears do i have
#4
The door jam sticker would have told you without a doubt. But doesn't 3000 RPM at 70 on 30" tires seem more like 4.56 gears? I had 4.10 gears on mine and I want to say on 30" tires my cruising RPMs were lower than that.

The search engine on this site is a very powerful tool. This question has been asked and answered here many times. I've answered it three or four times myself. Here's a link to a recent thread that's got lots of info on how to check your ratio. Happy reading.

4.30 only came in automatics, so definetly not those.
I went to this site http://www.richmondgear.com/101032.html and typed in 70 mph/3000rpm/30"tire=3.83 gear ratio. No 3.83 ratio available. So, that don't jive.
Then I used the other one there, I put in 4.10/70mph/30"tire/.838 OD ratio= 2694rpm. So that don't jive either.
I put in 4.56, and it worked out to 2996rpm@70mph in OD(.838 ratio) with 30" tires.
So there you go. 4.56 That's how that works.
