Just like you can do now vehciles back then could be order brand new with specail packages and special requests from the cusotmer. Like your truck was Prob and SR5 order but they requested manual windows and such and you prob got manual locks too? Usually locks and windows were a together kind of thing. They were either both power or both maunal. There are some SR5 runners of the 90's i've seen with vent windows and power windows and all kinds of possiblities. Usually a standard SR5 sec gen 4runner had: SR5 Gauge cluster with all gauges(oil pressure, coolant temp, tach, speedo, ect.) Chrome bumpers and trim, power everything(from windows to locks to mirrors) Some had leather seats but most all bucket seats, Most of them auto lockers and luggage racks were common but were an option on all runners, v6 usually, A/C, heat, Most of the 22re 90's 4runners had limited packages on them they are rare as it is to see a 22re sec gen runner so there were very few SR5 22re's.

4runner base = SR5 I think in the early 90's the "Sequoia" edition was more or less the top dog. Then came along the "limited"...

My girls 95 22re 4runner is a "sr5". Only options were ADD. It has the sr5 cluster. Base model buckets (sucked!), painted bumpers and trim and it came with 28"s

Adding SR5 options (like map lights, int wipers and sr5 seats) are easy and a must!!!

^^ Just do some odd-jobs and things for neighbors and family etc... Sell some stuff you don't use/need.

For the thread: My Runner says SR5 on the back, but it has nothing but cruise (which doesn't work), ADD and a tachometer. I'm a bit jealous of everyone with power windows/sunroof/ac. O well, I guess I really don't need a luxury car hehe.

Edit: I lie a bit, it does have a remote start.

I used to get free gas, but the gas card was taken from me... heh 14-15 mpg kinda sucks... ya know? I was filling up 2-3 times a week easily...

I still get free full coverage insurance, so i guess that's a plus

I dont think I have seen a 2nd gen 4runner without the SR5 badge. My '95 has a 22re/5spd, manual everything, no roof rack, no spoiler,no moon roof, no a/c, has stealies, has SR5 cluster, rear air ( I think standard on 2nd gens though) no chrome yadada, but it DOES had the sr5 badge.

And just so you guys know, ALL 2nd GEN 4RUNNERS CAME FACTORY WITH ADD '90-'95. All ADD from factory.

Ok so mine has manual windows/doors, clothe interior, sr5 gauges, manual locking hubs, roof rack, rear spoiler(but the one without the 3rd break light), vented windows, grey bumpers, no wheel trim, 22re, rear heat, A/C, no moon roof, no cruise control

My 90 SR5 4Runner 2 door has manual windows, manual locks, ADD, bucket seats, chrome bumpers, side mirrors and fender flares, SR5 tach, rear heater, swing out tire carrier and A/C. The things i dont have are Cruise, roof rack and a sunroof, since its a 2 door i dont really need power windows or locks lol bet the original owner thought the same thing haha
