What To Do??? Sell It Or Fix It!?!?
Well, once again i've run into another problem and i'm to the point of not wanting to even deal with it. I have a 89 yota pickup that is pretty solid overall for a 89. I have about $650 into so far without the new tires, but ran into another problem while getting the tank out to replace the fuel pump. Basically its gonna need a new sending unit and fuel pickup unit and possible a new tank if you can drill out the small 8mm bolts that are breaking off on the pickup unit. The truck also needs a new break line or a patch line installed where it is leaking. I'm to the point of not wanting to deal with it no more, but it's not a bad little truck. What i've done so far:
installed used 22re with 109,000 miles
new clutch
new cap, rotor, wires, plugs
new air filter
new belts
new radiator
new fuel pump to still put on
What it needs:
I was going to put on two new fenders $30 each
fuel pickup, sending unit possibly, tank possibly
rear brake line repaired
Extras with it:
intake with throttle body
clutch in great shape
altenator
I also have brand new 31x10.50-15 maxxis tires that I paid $500 for, but might use them for my next truck.
What should I do?? Should I just cut my loses and try to get my $650 back or bite the bullet and finish the job? Personally i'd like to cut my loses and just buy something needing tires, but not sure what I could get back out of the truck. I can't afford to lose any money on it. Here's a a pic of the truck. The bed is not rusted out which is why I started this project.

Keep it and fix it. That way you know what you've got. Buy another truck and you might end up spending the same amount. IF you have it just to beat around in and get muddy then its worth fixing.
