What do i need if....????

What do i need to do to my 89 pickup to make it through the rubicon without doing sas. Is it possible? Has anyone taken a mostly stock ifs toyota pickup over the rubicon and trails of the like? I definately know i need a locker, but my truck is my dd so maybe a selectable locker? what exactly is a selectable locker? Thanks for the help!!

I can't answer questions about the Rubicon but,

a selectable locker lets you choose when it's engaged or disengaged.

I talked to a guy once that said he made it to the top in a Jeep Grand Cherokee with only a 3" lift. He said it got a little dented up, but it made it. I have never done it, but if a Grand Cherokee made it with only a 3" lift, then I would think that you would have a chance with some lockers and maybe a small lift and some larger tires. Some protection, like sliders, would be nice. Personally, I would not want to take my daily driver on it. It would be a lot funner in something that I would not feel too bad putting dents in.

33's (you should be able to fit 33x10.50 on the stock rims with minimal, if any, lift), at least 1 locker (highly recommend 2), ARMOR EVERYTHING, spare parts (a couple CV's, tie rod assemblys), and a good group to go with.
