I am doing head work on my 3.0 and I am wondering what is the best way to clean the plentium (the device that goes onto of the intake maniflod) and throttle body?

 

Plenum. I always tear an old shirt in half, spray a bunch of intake/carb cleaner down each runner (one at a time), stuff the shirt all the way down each runner (one at a time), then get a drill (with 1/4" drill bit) caught up in the shirt, and spin the shirt around inside each runner until it's nice and clean.

ah damn i wish i would have thought about that...i just did it with a wirebrush jerry rigged to fit all in it...same for my intake manifold agh!

 

my Plenum is same, very gunky, clean throttle body, but couldnt get it in very far....but it did make a difference just cleaning the throttle body.

 

Blast it with crushed walnut shells. Looks like new when done.
