What is this for? 3.0 question?

Im new to yota tech. I bought this toyota a 1990 4x4 SR5 for 2000 bucks. Only that the previous owner did not take care of the truck! It has 186,000 miles. Its leaking antifreeze? freeze plug? It has oil compression. Its starts then dies down imediately? what is this for? idle adjuster?

Maybe you should get a PRO to go over it and tell you what you need to get it up and running efficiently.

Chances are you'll need an oil change, new coolant, replacement of gear lubes (transmission, transfer case, front and rear diffs), a new cap & rotor, air filter, spark plugs, etc. Once this type of stuff is looked at then you can consider starting to look at more major types of things.

That screw right there looks like the idle adjustment screw to me.

ohh i kinda figure that. Im not a jedi knight when it comes down to mechanics..im more like a jedi in training, just basic mechanics. Little by litlle I plan to do one thing at a time, parts are expensive for this truck. I got lucky, with the fuel filter, spark plug wires, brake pads, thats what parts the owner gave to me ,because he did not have time to put in..but thanks...how do you adjust idle? turn all the way to right?
