what is this?

I found a 4.88 out of a 93 4runner at the junkyard, that I want to put in my 86. But after looking at them both when I got home I noticed this sensor. What is it for? My 86 doesnt have it, the sensor is on the top of the carrier.

what is this?-forumrunner_20131117_163006.png

Yeah sorry about its because I uploaded it with my phone. Do I need it? Can I just take it off? How would I plug it?

I think the picture is fine, it's my phone that couldn't expand it. Your 'anti-lock' light might come on if you unplug it but you can either ignore it, take the bulb out or do a search, there are some fixes for it; some people have had no warning light when they disconnect it.

I guess just cut the wires and leave the sensor in, but in all my excitement today at this junkyard find I left the bolt that holds the sensor to the carrier on the ground
