What 22re head?

My 94 pickup, 22re, 178k starting knocking about a month or so ago. This weekend I tore it down to the block, next week, I'll pull the block. So, now the fun (or not so fun) money spending begins. I want to buy a new head since the quote given to me by the machinist for doing the head is close to new prices. What head would give me the most bang for my buck? I want quality and only want something stock. I know engnbldr is highly recommended but are there other good ones out there? I'm thinking 350-500 range.

If you're in the $350-500 range, get a head from Ted at Engnbldr. A) They are a new casting, B) Ted is awesome and knowledgable if you have questions, C) of all the people on here (myself included) that have engnbldr heads I can't think of a single complaint I've read.

Get a new head from Ted, throw in a sporty cam like the Torkr, it's great for shaving a downshift when going up and down hills, get your injectors cleaned, freshen up the bottom end if you need to and call it a day. With a brand new motor that will give you 200k+ miles of service.
