Hey, ovrrdrive, do you have a welded front? I'm welded up front, and this past weekend I was wheeling and did the old '4 lo with the hubs unlocked' and I swear I was hearing stuff...could be wrong though. When in 4wd, does the transfer case spin the front driveshaft...pretty sure it does, so if your welded it'll be turning the shafts up front, but if your hubs are unlocked your safe? Just don't want to mess anything up

It's spinning the front shaft, and the axles, but when the hubs are unlocked none of the power is being transmitted to the ground. It's highly possible you're hearing something from the front, but it's not from the ground.

Driving on sand (you're from Hawaii... thus sand) with the hubs locked is going to suck nards.

^ that is correct sir. Sand get every where, in bed and all... Nothing I hate more then sand in bed. Mud.... Red dirt full of iron and clay, get evry were and stains and a pain to get off the undr side of the truck. Last but not least the rocks. My god are the rocks friggin sharp out here. Evr seena brand new set of tires ruined in a mattr of a hour or two... /Sigh I wish I was on the mainland

Aw come on I miss the red dirt after a good day of wheeling my underwear was brown/red from the mud or is it really mud LOL
sand is lame unless you have your surf board

The rocks are scary no excuse for the red underwear except "I was playingin the mud earlier" LMAO

Hawaiin Islands aren't that big, so its only a matter of time until you will drive straight into the ocean because you can't turn. Then you've wrecked your truck.

I wish I knew what forgetting sarah marshall is so I could laugh....blue hawaii now I get that LOL .... my grandma lives in Kapaa on kauai and i have many cousins,aunts, & uncles spread about. When I was a younger i woudl stay the summers with grandma and surf, hike, and tear up the red dirt with the atv's

Lots of room to off-road, not nearly as much as th mainland but still yet atleast when we camp its in surf shorts and slippahs (flip-flops) but yeah typicly hitting the ocan is part of the advnture. So are we talking about hard to steer like no powerstearing hard? Cuss my homie has no power stearing and he fends prtty well... I wouldnt want to imagin spydrs welded and no powerstearing tho....

That too, but more importantly, you can have the wheels turned full lock and when you'll still be going pretty much straight the tires just plowing straight even though they're turned.
