VSV making vacuum leak noise when active (AC on), is this normal?

I notice the shhh noise only when the VSV is doing it's cycle (AC on and RPMs up) when it opens and allows vacuum to circulate. When it shuts and RPMs drop, no noise.

Is the VSV leaking internally or is this normal?

thanks

Sounds normal to me.
Valve open, allowing airflow, making airflow noise.
Valve closes, airflow stops, so does noise.

However, if one of the hoses to it has a hole, that could make more noise~

Typically you can't hear the vacuum flow through the 1/8" orifices in the valve. But, maybe you can in yours... check for a cracked hose. As long as the rpm isn't excessive for the a/c load you wont have any issues.
