vote on my latest mod (and see old ones) <PICS> 56K I DON'T THINK SO

Okay since getting my 4Runner back in Jan (from the in-laws) this year I decided from day one that it need my personal touch. In other words I had to clean it up a bit. So here are the things that I had to do, well told the wife I had to do it.

SO HERE IT IS WHEN I GOT IT, THEY DON'T GET MUCH MORE STOCK THAN THAT, IT EVEN HAS THE OEM WHITE WHEELS

BUT THE HOOD WAS PEELING SO I DECIDED IT NEEDED SOME SANDING AND PAINTING

THEN ONE DAY AT AUTO ZONE I FOUND BLACK WHEEL PAINT SO.....HERE IS IT AFTER ME AND MY BRO NATE GOT THE WHEELS OFF, LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE STOLE THEM, BUT WE POSTED A GUARD TO MAKE SURE NO ONE MESSED WITH THE RIDE. OH YEAH ALSO DID SOME BODY WORK AND PRIMED OVER THEM wife-o-meter

SO THEN I THREW THEM BACK ON......LOOKING GOOD wife-o-meter

THEN I THOUGHT, WE NEED NED WINDOW TINT BECAUSE THE OLD STUFF WAS PURPLE AND THAT'S NOT COOL wife-o-meter

THEN I THOUGHT...I NEED A SAFARI RACK SO I TOOK A TRIP TO SEE A GUY AND THIS IS WHAT HE HAD TO SHOW ME(PLEASE NOTE IT'S NOT MOUNTED JUST TRYING IT ON FOR LENGTH) wife-o-meter

AND ON THAT LONG DRIVE I REALIZED SOMETHING.....LONG DRIVES SUCK WITH OUT SIRIUS RADIO LIKE I HAVE IN THE CIVIC SO wife-o-meter (she thinks to much $$$ being spent)

THEN I SAID TO MYSELF "self we should get the 4Runner painted" SO WE TOOK OFF EVERYTHING WE DIDN'T WANT PAINTED AND WHEN WE GOT IT BACK wife-o-meter THINK SHE GAVE UP

BUT SOMETHING WAS STILL NOT RIGHT, WE HAD A CASE OF THE SAGGY ASS (tape reads 5 1/2 inches)

SO WE PUT A ProComp AAL KIT HERE'S WHAT WE GOT (NOW WE'RE ROCKING 7 1/2 ON THE TAPE MEASURE)

AROUND THIS TIME I DECIDED TO ADD AN ELECTRIC FAN

AND A SECOND FUSE BOX TO KEEP THINGS LOOKING CLEAN

hahaha that's funny, but you never said whether or not to put the TRD sticker on.

Put the stickers on the rear sides like everyone else does. And before you get bigger tires, get some aftermarket rims with 3.75" (or less) backspacing cause those factory rims are looking mighty narrow...

other than that, nice work.

rocket,
thanks for the vote, and the tires don't really look that narrow, it's the angle I took the picture at. check out the second pic for a much better view.

Looks great! I really like the window tint & black wheels. I just painted mine too. I vote to put matching TRD decals on the rear quarter panels.

Sure put the stickers on the 1/4's. and get that 1st gen dirty! I love that wife-o-meter. Mine was pegged out a long time ago. Sometimes a new mod is worth a night or 2 on the couch!

Nice looking Rig!
