so the doors on my 88 are a mess
the weatherstripping needs to be replaced, and the window regulators are
almost shot and the vent windows don't seal properly so I was thinking of replacing everything.

is it possible to remove the vent windows and use the glass from a non vent 1st gen or pickup?

 

Short answer, no. The doors are different internally.

 

I've only seen one 1st gen with out vents. I thought it was a conversion or something. I want 'em for that JDM clean look.

 

they come with the non wing windows stock the wings were an sr5 factory mod that cost more so the doors with out the wings are more easy to find over wing windows just so you know the pick up and runner of the 1st gen are the same and you can try for them but just to make sure try a test fit be fore you buy them

 

personally, I like the wings. keeps cig ashes from coming back in my face.

but to convert from wings to non-wings, you'd need the window regulators, glass and channels for the glass to slide up and down. it'd prolly be cheaper to re-gasket what you have or buy whole doors from a wrecking yard.
the wings' latches tend to bend and that's why they stop sealing.
