hey everybody, it seems as if the 3vz-e in my 4runner ticks rather loud and it doesn't seem to change too much with engine speed. the noise definitly sounds like its coming from the top end (from inside the cab) and near the valve cover and fuel injectors under the hood. do you have any idea what this metalic clicking noise could be. i wouldn't think that it would be exhaust, but i'm not too sure.

i called my local Toyota dealer and they want over $1200.00 for just a valve adjustment. to me that seems high, more like really high.

so if you have any ideas, please post them.
