Valve adjustment problems. HELP!!

I've installed a NEW head and I'm adjusting the valves cold just so I can fire it up and get it warm enough to adjust them correctly. I backed out the adjustment screw on the #2 cyl. all the way and there is still no clearance. Do I rotate the engine everytime after adjusting each set of valves??

Yes, you have to rotate the engine to adjust it intake and exhaust valves seperately for each cylinder.

Yes, you have to rotate the crankshaft.

I got it! That was pretty damn easy. Chilton manuals suck ass!! They really made no reference to rotating the crank. Screw them! Never buy one!

Just make sure the follower is on the base circle and adjust.
