Not really. But I can tell you what I would do, based on my observations from when I adjusted mine. Before making any adjustments I noticed that the tension on the spring holding the measuring plate closed was just slightly more than was needed to keep it fully closed when tilted straight up. As in, with the front of the VAFM rotated 90° backwards, so that the front of the measuring plate is facing the sky(and is directly apposed to the force of gravity trying to pull it open). Meaning, when I held the VAFM in that position(facing up, not forward) and pushed on the measuring plate to open it, it did so very easily. And when I stopped pushing on it, it was able to fully close, but was only being held closed by slightly more than just barely enough tension from the adjustment spring. I estimate one click(or at best two clicks) looser(richer) would have been too loose to keep the measuring plate held fully closed in the same position. Which didn't mean much to me at the time, because I was adjusting mine leaner(tighter).

So if I had no idea how many clicks, or in which direction, a particular VAFM had been adjusted, and I was trying to get it back to "stock" setting, I'd be trying to replicate the scenario I described above from before I adjusted mine. Lucky you I've got a bad habit of paying attention to, and remembering, details like that.
