UUUMMM 22RE Fuel Filter

Still the progress goes on to swapping everything to the new motor. I get my fuel injectors tomorrow from being serviced. I went to change my fuel filter and the Puralator fuel fitler doesnt have the bracket thingy on it to bolt to the bracket on the engine. Are all aftermarket fuel filters like this, or is it jsut the puralator brand? Has anyone made the filters work if there is no bracket? I am a bit miffed how it is just a simple fuel filter and even that is a pain in the arse. I can bring it back i have the reciept but i do not want to spend gold to get the factory one.

That's weird, mine had a bracket if I recall correctly. I used a Fram fuel filter.

I went with the OE filter and that had the bracket attached, I'd return the purolator and get the toyota one!

I'd go Toyota as well. I think my injectors are making noise (could be valves) because I went with Fram.

Just for looks, check this out. This is what came out of my almost 200k mile fuel filter.

Needless to say I am glad I changed it.
Is there any way you could take the Puralator filter back and get a genuine Toyota one? Mine cost $30, but you could find a way to get a discount and save some.
