Urinating throttle body
Hi guys, new here. Thought I should do a little intro. Been raised on yotas, 82,83,86,90,96,and 97. One runner the rest trucks. Best 4wd there is. My other love is motorcycles. Other then work that's all I do
I have a problem with an 90 3.0. Once hot it is just plain squirting coolant from the bottom of the throttle body. The ends of the two hoses connected to it are dry. Just thought I would ask before I took it apart and tried to find out what it is. I need it for transportation and don't really want to take it apart to find that there is a crack in it. It is coming out exactly like you were going lol, middle of the body almost directly over one of the injectors. I tried the search BTW.

i'm not familiar with the 3vze, but i'm going to guess that it has coolant lines running through the throttlbody to heat it up. one of them is probably cracked/broken, thus, coolant is pissing out.

That is the engine idle up when its cold, You can bypass or plug it off till you get it fixed, It will high longer till the heat migerates into the TB to lower it down.
It may be electrallasis, YOu can ether have it wielded up or just look for another TB which would be the safer Idea.
Are you sure coolent hasnt started pumping into the engine while its running?

Well, in case you are interested. Apperantly the throttle body has freeze plugs. One of them had an fairly large hole in it. They don't sell them seperately so JB weld to the rescue! Worked like a charm.
