Two pinion, how can you tell.
My 4.56 rear got here today (counted the teeth and I've got 9 on the pinion and 41 on the ring) now I need to figure out how to tell if I've got a 2 or 4 pinion.
Can I look inside and see the pinions? I only see one cross pin if that helps.
edit. This might help

This is the rear from a 1994 Runner with a manual tranny and 4 cyl motor. I don't know if these are hard to find or not. The good thing about this is now I can drop in the Aussie and enjoy all the stuff you talk about with a locker.
The front is on the way and it's a non ADD so I don't have to do anything with it other than another locker and install.
