TVV broken, holding up rebuild
I am putting my 3.0 plenum back on after getting my valve shimmed and the dreaded TVV posts break off. I repaired it once before, but it is too brittle to consider any further repairs. Non of the threads in my search indicated what effect on the engine performance would result if I bypassed the evap valve. Hate to be so close on completing this build only to be held up by a TVV valve that would take a few days to get from the dealer. Can anyone tell me what effect bypassing the valve (direct from canister to intake) would have on idle/running conditions?

Hey Aaron.......been wonderin' how it was coming along.
Remember the autoshop site? Explains it in detail...

You could get away with bypassing until you've finished the rebuild, but once you're done you ought to fix/replace it.
