Yeah, but it would take your engine, my engine, and the engine from everyone who responds to this thread just to spin the thing up.

probably marine diesels....the damn things are huge and would likely use 2 of those first turbos to power them. The biggest CAT engine i found on their site was a 24 cylinder monster with something like 132L of displacement or some ungodly amount. It was equipped with 2 enourmous turbos that looked like that one in the first pic.

The later is actually a turbine that is hooked to a generator for hydroelectric power generation....I think...but these are both total guesses...hehe

You could make a hefty jet engine out of that... then strap it to your ride. Woah. : )

i bet the head gasket on that mother is built to last

i think the piston rod-crosshead-connecting rod is pretty neat. I wonder what the advantages to that were. probably horizontal space saving....

i guess that design would also put less stress on the piston rod too though...wouldnt have to move around...just up and down.

i wonder what the starting motor on that sucker looks like. i wouldnt be suprised if it took a few engines (not motors) to start the thing....or 20 or so 3vz's lol.... (j/k for those of you that own that motor...lol)
