the last one is, well, interesting, but it sounds like he is only driving the turbo with one side of the engine and so is only getting about half the available power from the hot side... from the pics it also looks like a very cramped set up... if there were more pics showing how it was plumbed into the exhaust it would be easier to comment...
as for the first one there is very little detail given about the set up other then that it is available... It might be one of those ones where the turbo sits just ahead of the cat which is OK so long as you don't do any fording/mud bogging as the sudden cooling would crack the turbo casing...
