Tried to drown my 3vze........

So i have a 93 p/u with the 3.0, a few days ago i took it thrum a puddle only about as deep as the cab, about half way thru it shut down , long story shot i started it and drove it home about 30 miles ( with a mean knock ). I then checked my oil for water ... none, radiator was a lil low, white paste in oil fill cap. I pulled my plugs to check compression, my #2 cylinder spark plug was bent (the little hook piece was touching the electrode ) i dont have a compression tester but i thumb checked all cylinders and they all felt similar. I turned the motor over (with all plugs out) and i dont here the knock so it only happens when runinng. It does get louder with engine idle. i dont think i am lacking any power it felt like the same guttless 3.0 before i sunk her..............Anything helps guys this is my only transportation and i just bought it

If the spark plug ground electrode was bent it mean you probably got some water in the cylinder. It is hard to say what is causing the knock, but a broken wrist pin, bent rod, or spun bearing could be the culprit.

Either way it is probably not going to be cheap. The deeper the sound the more in depth it becomes.

best way i could describe the knock is a medium to higher pitched knock with a slight echo, i have about $700 and a very VERY angry prego wife any ideas

Water wouldn't have bent the sparkplug, I assume it would have flowed around it. You likely have something banging around in the cylinder. If you can borrow an inspection camera you can get a look in there for cheap.

Assuming thats where your truck died, the avatar picture, you definatly shouldn't have tryed that. much deeper than the 6" they warn you about all the time in the safety adverts
