Transmission whine

It sounds horrible. In first and third. Are they on the same shaft?
I have the trans out and torn apart. Everything seems to be okay. Except the oil was a metallic gold color (I'm guessing from the syncros getting muffed up?)
Would you replace these gears? Or just do a full rebuild of bearings and syncros?
Trans is out of. 90 4wd pickup. With 22re.

Hard to judge from pictures. Every gear is in constant mesh with other gears.
The tranny is shifted by locking and unlocking the gears on the shafts.
Is there no indication that one or more of the bearings are loose or rough??

Since you have it apart might as well rebuild it. I have a whine in my W56-B in 3rd and 5th gear, I finally rebuilt it after the input shaft bearing went out. The whine was still there after new synchros and bearings. I guess that's just how it sounds. Its been almost 30K miles since the rebuild and the whine hasn't gotten any worse or better, I'm not worried about it at all.
These transmissions seem pretty bulletproof to me.
