Transfercase shifter hits center console

It seems to me as if my 4x4 stick is bent too far back… I attached a few pics to try to explain better.

Does this not seem right or am i going insane?

does look a little odd. I'm thinking they can be installed either forward or backwards but can't recall right at the moment. Try to take it out and spin it around.

You're shifter is definitely in backwards, they can go either way, just pop it out and switch it around.

Remove the rubber boot. Take out the bolts. Spin it around. Rebolt. Reintall boot. Take 5 minutes.
