Trailer lights

I am blowing converters and cant figure out why. the trailer im using is wired for a GM, so it doesnt have seperate signal lights, the brake and the signals are the same. Maybe the addaptors are crap or the wirering is wrong. Everything works at first then the fuse blows and thats it for the converter.
Anyone have any thoughts on this.

i would check how its wired... i have never seen a trailer with more than one color taillight.. so they all wire the same... I had a converter in my 95, no issues running it to several trailers.

There is also a good chance its gounding outsomewhere on the trailer... trailer wires are notorious for grounding, espically old ones used on dirt roads.....
