tps replacment question

still need to test my TPS to confirm, but I believe it needs replacing. my question is, when you install a new TPS (oem) do they require a "baseline" adjustment from Toyota are are they just drop in?

They do require a' baseline' adjustment. In fact, it is the ONLY adjustment that can be made to a TPS.

All the multitude of tests the FSM shows for a TPS are only to determine if a used TPS is fit for further service.

The TPS, new, or used; must be adjusted so that it sends a 'throttle closed' signal with the throttle closed, and that that signal stops when the throttle is opened ever so slightly.

Many seem to fixate on the other tests as if any adjustment might change them. It cannot.
