TPS low idle, EGR removal

finally got the sputtering noises away after i removed the egr. guess it was going bad after all. im only gonna run it blocked off temporarily since i need to get it smogged by next march. also gives me time so save up on parts. however i messed around with the tps thinking it may have been the problem and now my idle is running very low with it plugged it. right now im driving with it unplugged and it runs fine. the directions to adjust it kinda threw me off. no vacuum leaks. used a 10k resistor on the egr sensor connector. CEL obviously on since tps unplugged. has anyone passed smog with the egr removed?

I passed emissions here with the EGR blocked off in my 86. It was still on there but had plates blocking the passages.
