tps
Ok, time for my shot at asking a stupid question. I am working on my cousins 93 22re 4x4. He bought it cheap because of the huge hole in the #3 piston so we just rebuilt the low end and bought a new head. Long story short, we put it together and it was week. My 92 4x4 22re has 33's on it and it has way more power. I have been messing with it for days when I accidently drove it with the tps disconected, and it ran much better! Does this mean it is a bad tps, I have heard both ways.

That's the general consensus. That is, a lot of people find that means it's bad. Have you tested it yet? That's how I've always made the definite conclusion.

You'll need to get an ohm meter....nothing fancy, though. Just something that will read the resistance ranges.
Run a search on TPS. There's a ton of info along with links for instructions. Also, on the main page of this forum, click on the "links to FSM's" posted by CyMoN. Go to the first link (4x4wire.com) and then the first post there....'93 FSM. Search throttle body for 22re.
