Basic no hard part rebuild if the customer brought in a trans....$1200 bucks or so. Can up up quickly if hard parts need to be replaced.

ie: My 2006 ford e350 superduty van smoked a trans.
Was 1800 with me taking it out and bringing it in. I had to replace lower planetary gearset and a sunshell for the hard parts. a hub too if I remeber correct? Been awhile.

I would probably give him a shot. No reason to be hasty.
Call him and explain...you just want it right...what can we do to work this out...mention you are disappointed and such...and you want it right.

Well ill definitely think about it, though you are most likely right. I should give the guy another chance. I am wondering though, do you think that based on what my transmission is doing that I might be needing hard parts?

The question is, did your transmission act this way before you sent it out to be rebuilt?
If not, then the guy screwed something up. I'm thinking that a rebuild consists of new parts of some fashion. It doesn't just mean tear it down and put it back together.

It used to act this way before which is why I decided to rebuild it, my transmission was still working when it was pulled out.
