Toyota motor swap

i have a 1987 toyota 4runner with a 22r and a 1990 toyota truck with a 22re and the 4runner has a craked block i was wondering if i could take the 22re out of the toyota and make a good 22r motor.. so i would be taking the head and block out of the 22re and the intake manifold off th 22r and make one good running 22r... i was wondering if that was possible to do?

"Yes" I just completed my swap, took out a 22re out of my 88 4runner, used the motor from the 87 22r.....I had to put the intake from my 22re and put it on the 22r,,,,,also, are they both 4 wheel drive, if not, get back with me, I can help you out on what needs to be changed....

Yes, swap the manifolds, use your exaust manifold if you can. If your 87 is carburated, you will have to use the power steering pump from the 22re, it has a connector for two vaccum lines....but the intake will match up just fine...also, you will need to swap out the distributor if it is carburated,...let me know if you need further assistance....
