tire clearence problems

So my tires are about a half inch away from my idler and pitman ARM. I'm pretty sure that what they are. Just put a 4in suspension lift on my 94. I know this problem can be solved by wheel spacers but how big should I go? Is 2in to much? I'm going to be doing lots of rock crawling if that makes a differ

1.5" would be plenty, there are 1.25" available too (just have to search harder)
