Timing Chain Done - Gear Drive Sound

I replaced the timing chain and found it ate the entire driver's side chain guide. I replaced the chain, chain cover, tensioner, water pump, oil pump, front oil seal, etc. with LC ENgineering's kit and metal backed guides. It stared up after the first crank and runs smooth but there's a grinding sound, sort of like CHevy's gear drive. It doesn't sound like a metal grinding sound like the chain grinding the cover. Is this normal after a job like this? Thanks in advance.

I have heard a high pitch whining noise after doing timing chains. It has never really been a concerning noise, though. I have also had some cheaper V-belts make the same noise. The noise goes away after they break in. A grinding or rattling noise would be concerning.

Thanks very much, that's what I thought and just wanted someone to confirm it. Appreciate it, Aloha!
