Timing chain

Timing chain

I am pulling my head off my 22r because i blew a head gasket i have the exhaust manifold off and the valve cover off and started on my intake. i need some help to get the timing chain off? do you have any ideas or helpfull hints on how to get the chain off?

Undue the bolt in the middle and slide the sprocket off. Turn the crank counter clockwise a bit will loosen some of the tension.

Just remove the bolt on the cam sprocket. Then pry it off with your hands...its fairly easy.

I have a pic of how everything works. This is on a 22re...I don't think there is any difference though...
