timing belt

I am looking to buy a 1989 4runner of a off road project but the timing belt in this 4 runner snaped while it was running now what kind of damage am i going to be looking at smashed vales or do you thing it would be in ok shape ? Post back please !!

If its a belt, not a chain... this is a non-interference engine. Expect no damage.

'89 timing belt... 3.0L V6.

I'm not the search police, but there is a ton of stuff on this forum on this engine. With lots of comments on the timing belt change. There is a list of things to check while you are doing the job. Good stuff.
