So i have searched and i have searched. No one ever figures out why their 3vze ticks, or at least never updates their post as to how they stopped the tick or figured out where the tick was coming from.

So, i guess ill be one of those posts. My tick starts pretty fast after starting the engine. The thing that i have noticed though is that once I am on the highway and cruising at around 70, i can hear the tick pulsating. Its like if you were to run a stick down a 5 post fence but very faint, and then start at the beginning again to do it all over. Sorry, that is the best reference i can think of.

The tick goes off of what the RPMs are, the lower the RPMs are the quieter it gets, the higher they are, the louder it gets. Its driving me crazy!!!

The engine is a new reman engine with only 450 miles on it. I've changed the oil to a heavier weight, and the oil is at a good level. Now, i have done the screwdriver stethoscope trick, and it sounds as if its coming from the fuel rail. But i haven't been able to get any lower than that. So, I'm curious to know if the pulsating has anything to do with what it may be.

Sorry to kick a dead horse, but its driving me crazy.
