Throttle problems

When I am at a stop and I rev up to say, 1500RPM and let go, it stays there. If I tap the gas a couple times it falls back to where it normally sits. It can be quite bad and will sit at 2000RPM sometimes until I tap the gas. Is it possible that the throttle can be sticking or something? I looked and haven't been able to see where the problem is.

Of course it can stick! Just have someone sit in the driver's seat while you're watching the throttle body. I'll bet you'll find the throttle is not returning to idle.

Uh, just what vehicle IS this? Put it in your signature, so we don't all have to keep asking.
