Thought I'd say Hello. Edit: Pics added

I wanted something snow compitent, but didn't think I'd end up with anything this cool. I gave myself a day to buy something and found myself a gem. Its an '88 4runner with the 6-cyl motor... White 2dr with grey decals straight from the 80s. I freakin love it.

Its super clean. Not a spot of rust on it and the previous owner has a notebook and a spreadsheet where he kept track of ever single bit of maintenance, right down to the viscosity of the oil. He had replaced everything reguraly and obviously cared for the truck quite a bit.

Only set back is that its an AT, but oh well! I don't mind a bit. Its got the sport seats and the top even comes off! After seeing all the crappy beat up trucks all day this thing was quite a find.

I'll post some pics shortly. First projects: real simple... plugs and oil. I've been a frequenter of another popular car forum for my other beast, but am very happy that this place exists for the newest addition to my garage (carport..whatever).

So..... Hello! Tech questions to come!

Welcome aboard! Another midwesterner with a T4R, I have a similar one that I picked up last year, 1988 3.0 auto...I love it! Gets crappy mileage, and does 0-60 in just a shade under a day, but its great!

Here's a link to mine the day after I brought her home:

Topless except for bikini I sold:

That's a great looking truck -- and what a great find to get one that was well-maintained! How'd you do on the price, if you don't mind me asking?
