thermostat gasket glue
im trying to replace my thermostat gasket and was just planning on attaching it with some gorilla glue. however, the gorilla glue is only rated to 130*. since i imagine the temperature of the thermostat housing, etc is going to be much hotter than that, what adhesive should i use?

No glue involved w/ 22RE thermostat gasket; All there is is the little rubber-like ring around the tstat; the water outlet(the thing that bolts down on top of the tstat and mounts the hose) doesn't use a gasket. Did you mean 'thermostat housing'...the much bigger piece that bolts to the side of the head?

10-4, don't use gorilla glue, that's for wood working.
The thermostat should hav been bought with a rubber washer/gasket, bought seperate, but on the thermostat, use that.
