testing coil w/ ignitor

I drive an 87 4runner 22re and i think my coil has gone bad. i tested it with an ohmmeter and the readings were off, but only partially. Is there any other way to test this piece?

Voltage souldn't hurt too bad, amperage on the otherhand... Maybe don't do that.

did you already check for spark by pulling a spark plug and having somebody crank the engine while you have the threads grounded on something?

i'd go and check the rest of the ignition components like the distributor pickup and igniter.

yeah i checked the park plugs but the spark was a blueish color isntead of white. my coil and igniter are one piece, and I checked and clean the distributor cap points, got new spark plugs and wires, so now im down to the coil.

by the way putting that thing on my toungue didnt do ลลลล
