TCpickup's wheeling checklist

Hey everybody, lately I've been wanting to take my truck on some more challenging wheeling trips aside from just the trails through the woods I make around my property so I've been set on going to Hollister Hills, the off-road park about an hour away and just hit the lighter trails there. I was just hoping on some input on what you guys think my rig will need as well as some stuff to bring wheeling... it will be somewhat light wheeling nothing too gnarly. So far my trucks got 31" General grabber x3s, a front tube bumper from trail gear, custom steel rear bumper and that's it for now. Next things on my list are 4.88s, 33s, 4-5" suspension lift and a winch. My truck is ifs but I probably won't be doing a sas for a while. I was just planning on bringing a small tool set and some extra gas and maybe a cooler with some food and drinks. Anything else you guys think I should bring my first time wheeling?

A buddy with another truck, some straps, some chain. A hi-lift can be used as a winch if necessary. A CB radio is always good to talk to others in your group or to call for help. Tire repair kit, small air compressor, and a gauge so you can air down and then back up. A winch is great, I have one and I've used it, but if I'm stuck, I'd look to the straps and a buddy first before I unspool the winch. A shovel is good to have, a jacket and a blanket in case you end up stuck for longer than you planned.

You can fit 33x10.50R15 tires with no lift.
