Tap Size

Can anybody tell me off the top of their head what size tap I need to clean the threads on the head bolt holes on a 94 model 22re?

Thanks

I've seen cheapo taps that will remove some of the thread along with the crud thus weakening the threads. Before using a tap, try filing notches across the threads of an old headbolt and use it to clean threads. Might help to first soften the crud with carb cleaner.

Thanks for the replies. I intend to buy a quality tap or small set. I have standards but very few metrics yet didn't want to let go the bucks for a large set. This should help. Thanks again.
