Just wondering what years of 4runners i can get the tail gate cover off of for my 1988 4runner? and are the all carpet? this may be a dumb question but a newer one came into work today and it looked like its cover might fit mine. The glass is expossed on my tailgate and it looks crappy cuz i am thinking about selling it. Any help much appreciated thanks!!!!!!!

any tailgate from a 1984-1989 will fit on your 88. not sure about the carpet, but the sheet metal will work

 

the SR5 package had carpet.
The DLX package had "vinyl"

Any Gen1 will fit - 85-89
