For some reason my tail lights quit working, I checked the harness back by the tail lights and everything was grounded out, so of course it pops the fuse as soon as I turn on my head lights. Is there anything else on the tail light circuit that could be causing the problem or does anyone have a wiring diagram they can direct me to? Also is there anyway it could be related to the cd player wiring, when I got the truck the guy before me was obviously a wiring genius, he had it all screwed up lol, but I straitened that out then went mudding then the following week I noticed the lack of tail lights, so I'm not sure if I screwed something up on the cd player or when I was in the mud.

I know its a short but I'm not sure if it is in the tail lights or another circuit, there could be something else causing everything to ground out

 

what I need is a link to a FSM for an 86

 

Was a trailer lighting kit added? I'd start there.

 

nope, he did have lights in the tail gates but I undid all of that crap
