Tach question

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum so please bear with me if someone already asked this question. I got a '94 4x4 pick-up with a 22RE engine and automatic trans and the gauge cluster doesn't have a tach. I found a small one that I can mount on the driver's pillar. I figured out where I can get my switched power and light feeds from on the radio and lighter, but I need some help on where to get the signal feed from. I'm old school and used to a points distributor and coil like on my old Mustang. I don't know where to attach to the "coil box" I see on the driver's inner fender of the engine compartment. Or is there some other ready made connection location for it?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch!

Mark

Yep, that's exactly where I mounted my tach as well.
