tach hook up

does anyone now how to hook a tach up on 89 toy v6? the tach has a short red & black wire and a long red,black,and green wire.

You have nothing with the tach at all??

Two wires are for the light

The other 3 are 12VDC + 12VDC- the green one should be the tach signal (just a guess)

It is should be the black wire coming off the igniter
