Has anyone taken out their center console ('95 Runner) and replaced it with something a little more user friendly. I realize there's a heater unit in there for the rear passengers but I never use it and want to replace it with a Smittybilt Stereo Security Center Console.

ive thought about taking the heater out and cutting the bottem out the tray and putting a metal box down there to make it deeper.

what are your plans for capping the coolant lines that run to the rear heater?

some 4runners ( like mine ) came with full center consoles and without the option of a rear heater.... so the bottom compartment is fully functional.
