swapping 3.0 for 22ret

i have a 1988 Toyota v6 3.0 motor with and automatic transmission since day one this motor has given me trouble its always leaked oil and had a miss. i finally rebuilt it not to long ago and did everything bore out the cylinders, new pistons, new heads and after it still leaks and has a miss but it drives. i recently found a 85 4runner that has a 22ret motor with only 30k miles for 1500 but it was rolled so i was wondering how hard it would be or worth swapping the motors and trannys and than just sell the 4runner with the 3.0 for fair cheap?

Not worth it. This has been covered before even with the turbo your going down in power.

85's didn't come with the turbo motor. How do you know it only has 30k?

Anything is better than a 3.0.

i would lose power even though the 3.0 have hardly and power at all? it just a dog of a engine there's plenty of hills that that motor cant climb. the 4 runner use to belong to a friend and he rebuilt it than sold it to his neighbor and his neighbor flipped it. even if i don't swap out motors would 1500 be a good deal for it?
